The study of Facilities Management concerns the management and care of the built environment in which we live and work. Facilities Managers work for hotel companies, retail chains, estates management offices, in the health service and other areas of business that own and maintain buildings. On this course you will explore the way the buildings in which we work are constructed and managed, as well as investigating the legal and economic constraints that impact upon our built environment. You will also learn about the legal and economic constraints that impact upon our built environment and how the nature of built space and the efficient control of non-core facilities affect the productivity of enterprises.

Assessment

50% examination and 50% assessment by completion of module lectures case studies etc

Dissertation

Dissertation will include the production of a major piece of written work of 10,000 words

Fees

Total: $13,000 per programme

·            Payable in 4 equal installments

·           Registration $50 (non refundable)    

Commitment fees of $200 upon registration. Once the regsiatration has been approved by UCLAN
 it will be converted to the course Fee, otherwise refundable
Cohorts Three (3) cohorts per year. Conditions apply

Requirements

Diploma in Building or Engineering from a recognized Polytechnicor equivalent with relevant working

experience Other equivalent qualification with relevant industrial experience may be considered
